Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
This policy explains how The Girth Clinic website collects and uses personal data, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
The data controller is The Girth Clinic, 21C Lichfield Street, Tamworth, B79 7QD, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at info@girthclinic.co.uk, by phone or WhatsApp on 07379 621635, or through the contact form on this website.
Messages you send us
When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the treatment you are interested in (optional) and your message. We use them only to reply to you.
The message is sent to the clinic by email through Resend, our email delivery provider, and a copy is kept in a private backup spreadsheet held for the clinic, so that no enquiry is lost.
Your message may include information about your health. By sending it you consent to us using that information to answer your enquiry. Please only share what you are comfortable sharing.
Bookings
When you book a consultation we collect your name, email address, phone number, any notes you add, the package you are interested in and your confirmation that you are 18 or over. The diary and bookings are managed by the clinic booking system at kevinlangley.co.uk, which sends your booking confirmation by email.
If a consultation needs a payment, it is taken by Stripe through the booking system. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by this website.
Spam protection
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and a hidden field to stop automated spam. Turnstile checks signals from your browser and your IP address to tell people from bots.
Analytics
A cookie-free page-view counter run by RankShark records only the page address, the referring page or site and any campaign tag in the link. It sets no cookies. The IP address is used only momentarily to block abuse and is never stored.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. It loads only after you first interact with the page or a few seconds after it has loaded, and it uses cookies and similar technology set by Google. Google processes this data on our behalf.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies once it loads (see Analytics). If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is remembered in your own browser. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set strictly necessary security cookies.
Other services
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the pages securely. Fonts are served from this website, not from Google.
Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook and Facebook Messenger open those services, whose own privacy policies apply. The Google preferred source button loads a script from Google when it comes into view.
The Google reviews on the home page are shown by Fouita, a third-party widget, which loads from Fouita when you scroll to that section and may receive your IP address and browser details. The reviews are Google content.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries and booking records only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or treatment, and to meet our legal and insurance obligations.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred to you. To make a request, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
